Here’s everything that you can order with your Vivint smart system
Unlike other home security companies, Vivint’s automation and security offerings are available to renters. Here are a few of the most popular sensors and services:
Intrusion detection
Burglar alarms and window sensors can warn you when an unwanted intruder comes into your rental unit. Get an alert to your smartphone as an device trips, or arm and disarm your components remotely and let in maintenance or guests when you’re not home.
Fire, flood, and safety detectors
Smoke detectors will come standard with your apartment or rental home, but probably not other CO or water detectors. Hang a wireless carbon monoxide detector or water alarm to alert you and Vivint’s monitoring team to catastrophes before it’s too late.
HD security cameras
A security cameras may be wirelessly installed so you can watch over certain rooms. A doorbell camera lets you view -- and converse with -- visitors at the door. Watch real-time HD feeds and alerts about lurkers through your mobile app.
24/7 monitoring
A big benefit of using Vivint is the monitoring team that respond to tripped alarms. If a sensor triggers, your monitoring experts immediately contacts you to make sure you’re secure. Then they’ll contact the fire or police departments.
Smart home components
Home automation items, like smart bulbs, can be put in to make your rental more energy-efficient. Some items like a replacement smart thermostat or smart door locks may involve prior landlord approval.
The Vivint App
Your Baltimore security system can be adjusted anywhere is the world through the Vivint App. See HD camera feeds, remotely turn on and off devices, or program times for alarms and lights. Then allow texts to your phone if a sensor goes off or a camera detects suspicious motion.
